Today, in Jumpstart Writing at the Copperfield's in Petaluma, I asked folks to write about something "new." This, with a nod to Shel Silverstein, is my attempt.
New? Yep! Brand new flavors today.
Porcupine Crunch, Avocado Slime.
Ice cream flavors bound to dismay.
Sea Slug Salty, Rusty Jail Time.
Gonna have a new start, new flavors for you.
Ten Year Old Bubblegum; Pine Tar Chew.
Turquoise Gravel, Elephant Poo.
That's the way this year becomes new.
and so on.....
